The EPCVIP AI Trusted Framework

How EPCVIP works to keep AI-assisted work safe, accurate, and accountable — the principles, standards, and safeguards built into the agents and sessions our teams use.

EPCVIP is a lead-generation and affiliate network in the fintech industry — we help people find and compare financial products. We are not a lender, and we do not lend, offer, price, fund, or hold money ourselves. We use AI within our own teams to build and ship the systems and processes behind these services.

Principles

The principles behind every agent

Eight commitments shape how EPCVIP builds and runs AI. They are the reason the standards and safeguards below exist.

Customer empowerment

AI helps our teams build and run better services — improving the quality, speed, and reach of what we offer customers. It is designed to support human judgment on decisions that matter, not to stand in for it.

Data stewardship

Customer data is entrusted to us. We collect what is needed, protect it carefully, and limit its use to the purpose it was collected for and the related purposes the law permits.

Transparency

We’re open about our use of AI rather than hiding it, and if it ever shapes something you see, we can explain it in plain terms.

Fairness

We work to prevent AI from creating or reinforcing unfair bias in how customers are matched to financial products or in their access to service.

Security

Systems that handle financial data are built to withstand attack and misuse — protection is designed in from the start, not added later.

Accountability

Every AI system has a human owner answerable for how it behaves. AI supports people; it does not replace them on decisions that matter.

Continuous improvement

Every shortfall teaches us something. We measure how well our safeguards work and keep improving them as AI changes.

Reliability

We verify AI-assisted work before it reaches customers or production — held to the same bar as anything written by hand.

Our commitments

What we hold ourselves to

Some lines we hold ourselves to. These commitments apply across the AI systems EPCVIP builds and runs today, and to customer-facing AI if and when we deploy it.

  • If AI ever informs how products or information are presented to you, a person — not the AI — is accountable for that use; lending decisions are made by partner providers, not EPCVIP.
  • Model development uses aggregated or anonymized data, not your personal data.
  • We work to prevent AI from introducing unfair bias into how you’re matched to financial products or your access to our service.
  • We design our AI to be explainable — to you, to an auditor, or to a regulator.
  • Every AI system has a named person answerable for how it behaves.
How it works

Trust, built into the path of least resistance

The safe way is the easy way. EPCVIP’s standards and safeguards come built into the agent itself, so good results don’t depend on remembering the rules.

01

Shared principles

Eight principles set the direction. Every standard and safeguard below traces back to one of them.

02

Built-in standards

Around fifty coding and security standards travel with the agents we operate, so the right way is already loaded — nothing to find or set up.

03

Automatic safeguards

Quality and security checks run as you work to help verify each change before it ships, leaving a clear, auditable record.

04

Ready playbooks

If something slips, a documented response is ready and a named person is on point — no scrambling.

Built for fintech

Customer data protection is built in

We help people find and compare financial products — work that runs on sensitive data — so stewardship is built into how our teams use AI, and it is the commitment the rest of the framework is built to keep.

Data is guarded throughout the work

Stewardship is built into how our agents work — not bolted on afterward.

  • Our AI agents reach data through approved, verified interfaces designed to keep them away from production systems, personal data, and credentials.
  • Model development uses aggregated or anonymized data, not your personal data.
  • For testing, we use synthetic or anonymized data rather than real customer records.
  • We scan for secrets before changes are merged, to help keep credentials out of the codebase.
  • We check the third-party code our software relies on for known vulnerabilities, and address the serious ones before a change ships.
  • Data is protected in step with how sensitive it is — encrypted in transit, and at rest for sensitive data in our managed systems.

A person is responsible

AI is a tool, not the accountable party — responsibility stays with people.

  • A person authors and reviews each change — the agent helps, a person decides.
  • Someone reviews the work before it ships, so quality doesn’t rest on the agent alone.
  • Each area has a named owner, so there’s a clear person to turn to.
  • How a change was made stays clear and explainable — work you can understand and trust.
